DAY 1: 7 March
Depart Brisbane for your flight to Mumbai

DAY 2: 8 March
Arrive into Mumbai
Transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure
Overnight: Trident – Nariman Point or similar

DAY 3: 9 March
Today experience the “Living Cultures” of Mumbai – Meet the dabbawallas (hot-lunch delivery system for Mumbai office workers) and see the dhobi-ghat (manual laundry system).  Visit the Gateway of India, Mani Bhawanm, drive past the Victoria Terminus.
Explore the Crawford Market.
Take a horse drawn carriage ride to the local restaurant for your Welcome dinner.

DAY 4: 10 March
After breakfast, proceed for the Mumbai’s slum visit. This tour takes you to Dharavi, “Asia’s largest Slum”. Visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum.

DAY 5: 11 March
Transfer to airport for flight to Jodhpur. Then drive to Jamba. The World’s first resort on top of a sand dune.
This evening enjoy raditional Rajasthani musicians and dancers from nearby villages.

DAY 6: 12 March
A jeep safari after breakfast. Interact with the Bishnoi tribes that inhabit this region.

DAY 7: 13 March
Depart for Jodhpur after breakfast. Visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada.
Overnight:The Ajit Bhawan Palace or similar

DAY 8: 14 March
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, stopping for lunch enroute.
Overnight: ITC Rajputana Hotel or similar

DAY 9: 15 March
Today visit the Amber Fort and a photo stop at the Palace of the Winds,
See the City Palace in the afternoon, followed by a stopover at Jantar Mantar.

DAY 10: 16 March
Today visit Sanganer to watch villagers engage in traditional block printing and hand-made paper industries.  Tour a local market before visiting Birla Mandir.
In the evening, enjoy the Amber Fort Light and Sound Show.

Drive to Agra today.
Late afternoon, visit to the Taj Mahal
Overnight: ITC Mughal or similar

DAY 12: 18 March
Today visit Agra Fort.
Drive to Delhi and rest of day at leisure

DAY 13: 19 March
Combine the charm of Old and New Delhi on a full day sightseeing tour.
Tour the bazaars of Chandni Chowk by cycle rickshaw, followed by a drive past the historical India Gate, the Rashtrapati Bhawan and parliament House.

DAY 14: 20 March
Fly to Jorhat to board your cruise aboard the MV Mahabaahu
Meet your fellow travellers at the Welcome Dinner onboard.
Overnight onboard M.V. Mahabaahu

DAY 15: 21 March
After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the mainland where a drive takes us to a scenic corner of ‘Garamur Satra’ for an interesting cultural performance by Satriya singers and dancers.
Visit the Harucharai Tea Estate for a traditional Assamese lunch with the Tea-estate family.

DAY 16: 22 March
Embark on an excursion to Sibsagar, the ancient city of the Ahom Kings. Visit the Talatal or Karen Ghar and after a leisurely stroll in and around the monument, we go on to Rang Ghar. Proceed to Sibsagar town .We drive back to the M.V. Mahabaahu to enjoy a late lunch as we sail out to a deserted island.

DAY 17: 23 March
Yoga enthusiasts enjoy an early morning Yogic walk and a Yoga session as the M.V. Mahabaahu sails towards a Mishing Village.
Embark on a boat safari after lunch to the Eastern Range of the Kaziranga National Park
We return to the M.V. Mahabaahu and enjoy a cooking demonstration.

DAY 18: 24 March
After breakfast, there will be a talk on Kaziranga and Wildlife in India and a short orientation on Bishwanath Ghat.
Late afternoon, enjoy a leisurely walk through the tea estate watching the tribal women picking tea leaves.
By sunset, we are ready to drive back to the M.V. Mahabaahu to enjoy a cultural evening with cocktails.

DAY 19: 25 March
Depart before sunrise for the Kaziranga National Park.
We reach the Kohora Mihimukh and start our morning adventure; a once-in-a-lifetime elephant-backed safari where we search for the elusive rhinoceros, tigers, swamp deer, hog deer and more.

DAY 20: 26 March
A full day of cruising today, passing by inhabited islands that may or may not survive the flood season.
Tonight, anchor at a deserted island for a formal Assamese evening with cocktails and a Farewell Dinner.

DAY 21: 27 March
Today we disembark and visit the Kamakhya Temple
Transfer to the airport for flight to Kolkata,
Today enjoy your farewell dinner at the hotel.

DAY 22: 28 March
Explore Kolkata on a half-day sightseeing tour. Pay a visit to Mother Teresa’s House and also visit Shishu Bhawan, a center for abandoned and handicapped children.

Arrive back into Brisbane this evening
