Viking Set to Add Nine More River Ships, More Ocean Vessels

Torstein Hagen, chairman and CEO of Viking Cruises, speaking at a press event in New York City aboard the 930-passenger Viking Sky, revealed that Viking will add nine more LongShip river ships in 2019, after a taking a year off in 2018 to focus on its growing ocean fleet. Viking now has four oceangoing vessels with plans to add two more next year, and up to 10, including options by 2024, making it the largest small-ship ocean fleet in the world.
